PAT AWARD (Police Officer terms and conditions)
The Tribunal's Award on the Police Employers' Side recommendations from the Winsor Report Part 1 covers Unsocial Hours Allowance; VSAs; Casual Overtime; Rostered Overtime; Public Holidays; Mutual Aid; a new 'Away from Home Overnight Allowance'; ‘Proper Accommodation’; 'Suspension of Incremental Progression'. These changes should result in estimated net savings of £163m in 2012-13.
It should be noted that this award is treated as though it were an agreement of the two Sides of the Police Negotiating Board and is a recommendation to the Home Secretary. Therefore the Home Secretary will now need to consider the PAT award.
