What is your daily rate?
It is a set rate of £850 per day + VAT + Reasonable expenses but we can negotiate different rates for longer pieces of work.
What's the difference between an independent investigator and an independent person?
An independent investigator is someone from outside an organisation who conducts an investigation into allegations of misconduct or capability of a senior manager. This is done to promote fairness and independence, and because the person who would usually conduct a disciplinary investigation would have had prior involvement with the person under investigation. The purpose of the investigation is to establish whether the allegations have any foundation, ie whether there is a case to answer.
On the other hand, a Designated Independent Person (or DIP) is someone again independent of the organisation who is appointed with the agreement of both parties to conduct an investigation into allegations of misconduct or capability once it has been demonstrated to the employer that there is in fact a case to answer. This procedure is rooted in legislation and regulation and applies only to the three officers in a council who are subject to statutory protection - i.e., the Head of Paid Service, the Monitoring Officer and the S151 Officer.
What job evaluation methods do you use?
