Soulbury officers

The Soulbury Committee was established in 1948 to provide voluntary collective bargaining machinery for advisory staff in local education authorities (LEAs). It covers approximately 12,000 staff (as at Jan 2011) including: educational improvement professionals (previously advisers and inspectors), educational psychologists, and young people's/community service managers (previously youth and community service officers).
